Hematoid Quartz is clear Quartz with hematite inclusions, meaning the iron oxide was trapped within as the quartz was formed. Hematoid Quartz can range from light yellow - dark red, depending on the amount of hematite, with different trade names attributed based on the color. "Golden Healer" is the trade name for yellow-orange Hematoid Quartz. Red varieties are known by the trade name of "Fire Quartz."
Golden Healer Quartz was first mined in Arkansas in the early 1980s, but deposits have been found since in Brazil and the Celtic Region
