Chevron Amethyst Alien Head with Blue Moonstone Eyes

Amethyst is a variety of quartz, generally ranging from pale lilac to deep, reddish purple. As with other varieties of quartz, amethyst owes its color to irradiation from surrounding rocks as well as impurities of iron and other trace minerals.
In Chevron Amethyst, specifically, the patterns are caused by the cooling of liquid magma from volcanic explosions. Silica acid bubbles are solidified into Quartz, with the irradiation of iron from surrounding rocks. When parts of the silica bubbles solidify at varying speeds causing veins of white quartz to fuse to veins of amethyst, the patterns in Chevron Amethyst are formed.

We could fill a book with the positive properties that are attributed to amethyst, but at its root, amethyst is a stone of peace, calm, and unification. Although many stones really shouldn't be kept in the bedroom or other places of rest and relaxation, amethyst is a perfect addition to the bedside table, meditation space, study area, or anywhere that peace of mind, calm of heart, and unity of spirit are needed- that is to say, pretty much anywhere! Together, these attributes bring clarity, positivity, and when needed, rest.
