Bladed Blue Kyanite

Kyanite is a typically blue aluminosilicate mineral that forms in elongated bladed structures, found in aluminium-rich metamorphic pegmatites and sedimentary rock.
The name "Kyanite" comes from the Ancient Greek "kyanos" which means "dark blue" and is also the root of the word "cyan."
Although Kyanite is typically blue, as the root of its name suggests, it can also come in black, gray, and occasionally light green.

Blue Kyanite is a stone of mind expansion, providing a safe space for getting in touch with one's intuition- and possibly even their dreams if placed on their bedside. It also aids in understanding and communication with others. Its bubble of safety is created because Blue Kyanite does not absorb negativity, but rather reflects it like a shield, meaning that it is one of the few crystals that does not require cleansing.
