In present times, besides being a beautiful part of any crystal lover's collection, quartz is important. Tiny pieces of "quartz sand" are used in the production of industrial and residential glass as well as in developing fiber optics and laboratory vessels.

Clear quartz is known as the "master healer" stone, amplifying energy as well as the effects of other crystals, making it useful for manifestation, meditation, and channeling.
