Garnet Magic Sacks

The sun goddess, Persephone, having found herself stuck in the underworld, struck a deal with Hades to spend part of the year there with him and part of the year on the earth. Hades gave her pomegranate seeds to ensure her return, the rich color of which gives garnet its name. (The word "garnet" comes from the Latin "granatus," meaning "seeds")
Garnets have been used as burial jewelry and signets of royalty from as far back as the Bronze age, and they were particular favorites of the Vikings, who believed wearing them improved their fighting prowess.
Garnets are found in colors including green, orange, brown, and shades of red from light pink to the deep red that gave it its name.

With its associations with Persephone and the color red, garnet is unsurprisingly known as a stone of love, courage, and protection during travel. Garnet is truly a stone of commitment, supportive and encouraging to relationships as well as to dreams and ambitions!
