This lovely Harmony Quartz (Commonly called Sphalerite, but actually a mix of Quartz and Fluorite) Sphere is 57mm (about 2.3") full of sparkles and the geometric patterns Harmony Quartz is known for.

History | Science

Harmony Quartz is commonly mislabeled in the metaphysical crystal community as sphalerite, which is a zinc ore mineral. The "Harmony Quartz" moniker was introduced by Rachel of RMD Crystals, and as it is actually a mix of quartz and fluorite (no zinc present at all), that feels appropriate! Because of their differences in cleavage, this mix provides the beautiful druzy pockets and geometric shapes that Harmony Quartz is known for. It truly is a fascinating, sparkly mix!

Metaphysical Properties

As this is a crystal that is so often mislabeled, it is nearly impossible to find realistic information about the metaphysical properties of Harmony Quartz. True sphalerite is a zinc mineral, and we can't assume the properties of zinc without the presence of zinc. However, we do know that it contains quartz and fluorite, which is why we love the "Harmony" moniker. Working together, quartz and fluorite are stabilizing and calming, providing clarity and positivity. This is a stone that really does feel like harmony, and we think it's perfect for anyone who is facing a tumultuous relationship or difficult decision.

Photography

Although we always strive to provide clear, accurate images of our crystals and other products, we photograph under professional lighting, which is meant to mimic sunlight. If you get your crystal and think it looks a little different under low or artificial light, try checking it out again in sunlight!

Our crystals are one-of-a-kind art, created by nature.

No two pieces are the same, and there is no such thing as "perfection" in nature.

When it comes to our hand-carved items, remember that artists work with and around imperfections, druzy pockets, and other natural variations to bring each carving out of a piece of natural stone.

We consider these imperfections to be one of the most wonderful parts of crystal collecting, and we invite you to embrace each carving's uniqueness!

We will always try to portray each piece honestly, so be sure to look closely at our images and videos to ensure you know what to expect.
