Petrified Agatized Rainbow Limb Cast B from Arizona

Over 200 million years ago, this limb was washed away by an ancient river and then buried in sediment containing volcanic ash. This formed a hard cast around the branch, and once the organic material decayed, the cast was filled with minerals, allowing the insides to turn to agate. The cast left behind was so highly detailed that from the outside, you can barely tell it's actually petrified! It is truly a work of art made by nature!
